Diana Shoot - 1st June 2008

The Diana shoot is an annual shoot which Westcott Archers support at Harwell near Didcot. This year another excellent shoot was put on by Harlequin Bowmen with enough bacon sarnies and cake to keep even Westcott Archers happy!!

For those of you who haven't shot the Diana both there are several different rounds to shot covering most distances (no 100 yds though) and is great as a first time target shoot experience. Each round consists of 3 dozen arrows at each of three distances:-
- Albion 80, 60 & 50 yds
- Windsor 60, 50 & 40 yds
- Short Windsor 50, 40 & 30 yds
- Junior Windsor 40, 30 & 20 yds.
So how did we do? Well we took some medals!!! Jean & Jock came second in their respective Albion rounds, unfortunately our recurve team got beaten into second place by Reading Archers (again!!!! - however, Reading Archers - I'd watch out next year).

Cass & Marky B came first in their respective Windsor rounds also winning the couples Windsor trophy. Carol did a cracking job coming second in the Ladies Recurve short Windsor and Jane first in the Ladies Longbow. Our two Juniors Cameron and Ollie both did fantastically well coming second in their rounds. For full results click here.
