A record number of 143 archers came over to Westcott to shoot in the 2nd Indoor NFAS 3D shoot. This shoot was split into five sessions which we ran over this weekend. There was the usual amount of barracking took place that we have learnt to expect from the NFAS indoor shoot! Again the response from all those who took part was excellent and the free tea, coffee and doughnuts were certainly appreciated. Again there was a raffle for each session where those who were lucky to buy the winning ticket won an Outdoor Adventure kit - containing all a budding Field Archer would need. The course was challenging for even the more experienced archers but not too daunting for those newbies!!
Whilst the archers had a welcome break halfway through, some of the Westcott animals scurried into hiding and others came to join the fun. This weekend we had a rat which appeared and disappeared behind it's stack of grain along with the croc under it's waterfall, the swaying owl and the flying pigs. You've got to give the organisers credit for their imaginations!!
